Sense of a presence

My Uncle Sam was well known for smoking cigars. He smoked a variety of cigars but the brand he smoked most was White Owl. I still remember that distinct aroma. Fast forward years and even decades later, and out of nowhere whether I'm puttering around the house or sitting alone on the sofa, I will smell his cigar as if he is sitting next to me puffing away. It happens sporadically but when it occurs, the aroma is strong and cannot be mistaken for anything else. I know it is my Uncle Sam's presence as he continues to protect and guide me. He was an awesome guy.
